Booking Your Event

The Cricket Club function rooms are available to hire for all occasions.

We have two function rooms available for hire. The Wilfred Owen Room and the The Gwilym Owen Room .

Hire Information:

The room prices for both rooms can vary due to a variety of reasons but can start from £50 for the Wilfred Owen  Room (50/110 seated guests) and this includes room for a dance floor, DJ/band, buffet, cake & present table + access to the veranda and tables outside. To secure your booking you need to pay the non-refundable room hire. We accept cash, cheque or card payments debit & credit cards.

The hire is for a period of 5 hours together with bar – 7pm until midnight with last orders being called at 11:45pm. – The patio doors will close at 10pm due to noise pollution and in respect/agreement with our residential neighbours. Music will stop at Midnight.

Saturday/Sunday Day Time: for example a Christening: noon – 5pm or 1pm – 6pm   etc.

Afternoon to Midnight (Wedding) from £125 +VAT

We cannot host 18th & 21st birthdays due to our location and license** there can be extenuating circumstances.

NB We are sorry but table confetti or party poppers are not allowed as they can cause damage to our glass washer & Hoover.

From the moment you make your booking, Hugh and Jane will be on hand to help you with the organisation of your special event. Our experience and dedicated staff will enable you to relax and enjoy the company of your friends and relatives knowing that every detail will be attended to. We have a range of menu options and a selection of packages for both children and adults.

…be it a  Birthday party, 25th Anniversary, Wedding, Christening or a large charity dinner. The flexible seating arrangements allow for a variety of different layouts and there is a large dance floor area with plenty of space for live music. There is also the ’small’ matter of the outfield and veranda giving ample outside space for alfresco entertaining or lovely Summer BBQs.

The Wilfred Owen Room can also be used for your meeting or conference needs, so whatever kind of event you are planning, whether it a large corporate event, a team building seminar or a small informal meeting, it provides the perfect setting for any function with a wide range of menus.

We can also advise on entertainment, everything is tailored to your needs.

Oswestry Cricket Club provides their own catering service and is happy to discuss your needs with lots of menus to choose from. We do welcome Self-Catering or can offer advice on choosing a caterer – subject to conditions.

We have carefully selected a good variety of buffet food which is all prepared in our Local Authority Inspected Kitchen in compliance with E.U. Regulations, and we are pleased to announce that we have recently gained the coveted 5 star hygiene award from the Shropshire County Council food hygiene inspection

All selections can be altered to suit your requirements, but this may alter the price. We may also add extra toppings to sandwiches.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Catering at our Pavilion is usually only available for a minimum number of people, depending on the event. We are, though, flexible.

The quality of our catering depends on every event being planned separately, so once food has been ordered, numbers agreed prior to this will be charged for. If we are not informed of extra guests, we can’t be responsible for shortages of food at the event.

We require confirmation of numbers 14 days before the date of any booking, along with the agreed fees.

CANCELLATION

When a booking is confirmed we arrange staff and kitchen time for that function, therefore cancellation charges apply. The minimum amount is 20%. This will increase to 50% within 2 weeks of the event and 100% within a week.

PAYMENT

This can be discussed when your planned event is discussed. Final payment is required, unless agreed prior to event, 14 days before the function.
