Lord Botham OBE at OCC

Last night saw a packed Oswestry Cricket Club treated to a wonderful Q&A session with Lord Botham OBE. During the first half of the session, he described how he went from nearly signing for Crystal Palace to instead playing for Sommerset with Sir Vivian Richards for the first time at Bath, and then running through his illustrious career including of course his Ashes heroics.

Following a short break, the audience were told of his role as a UK Trade Ambassador to Australia, his passion for, and business interests in wine, Shane Warnes golfing exploits and of course his amazing work for Charity.

It was an incredible night, one to be cherished by all that attended.
