About

Oswestry Cricket Club is situated in the Market Town of Oswestry in the North West of the County of Shropshire. Formed in 1855, OCC is one of the oldest Cricket Clubs in the UK.  We moved to our current ground in 1946. The clubhouse was redeveloped in 2006, with a further extension being added in 2013.

OCC has four senior league teams. The 1st XI playing in the Premier Division of the Shropshire League, with the three others also plying their trade in the Shropshire County Cricket Leagues.

We run a successful junior section starting from All Stars right the way to a Under 19’s team, and we also boast one of the strongest "Women and Girls" sections in the County.

Off the pitch we have are fortunate enough to have a large and vibrant clubhouse which has two function rooms, both with their own private bars, which can host either 25 or 110 guests. This facility, sometimes referred to as the biggest and the best beer garden in Oswestry, is open to non-members and has enabled Oswestry Cricket club to be an intergral part of the Oswestry Community, and is a popular venue for Parties, Christenings and other private gatherings for the full twleve months of the year.

Oswestry Cricket Club is also proud to be the home of the Oswestry Branch of the Royal British Legion
